Projects

The scope of this $14 million project (HWK1130B) called for the entire reconstruction of the Williamsburg Bridge Bus Plaza in Brooklyn, NY. Work included upgrades to the drainage system to the plaza and adjacent local streets. Installation of new sewers, catch basins, and sewer manholes were amongst the drainage upgrades. New steel faced curbs, concrete sidewalks, asphalt paving and new landscape planter that divide the Williamsburg Bridge exit ramp and the bus plaza. All traffic signals, street lighting and pavement markings were upgraded in this project.

As part of the New York City Walk Program -  Nostrand Avenue Wayfinding Foundations were installed throughout Brooklyn. Completion Date: 03/2016

The Westside Highway (Route 9A) is one of the most traveled roadways in New York City. This roadway has undergone through a major capital improvement and reconstruction projects since the early 90’s through today. Now is time to maintain and bring improvements to this highly travelled highway. In 2014 HASA was awarded this $10 million project that includes concrete repairs to the existing roadway, new landscape plants along the planted median, repairs and improvements to the landscape irrigation system, improvements to the video cameras and Variable Message Boards, pavement markings and repairs to the bikeway.  Estimated completion date: 05/2017

The scope of this $23 million project called for reconstruction of route 110 – Project includes: excavation, saw cutting PCC and composite pavement, concrete, ductile iron pipe various sizes and polyvinyl chloride pressure storm & sewer lines, half section concrete barriers, concrete sidewalk (colored and imprinted), asphalt work, planting trees and shrubs, , Asphalt and concrete pavement, pavement marking , sign panels, water main work, sewer construction, street lighting, traffic signals, jacking 48”concrete pipe (400M), Sign structures and very complex MPT. Estimated completion date: 07/2015

The scope of this $21 million project called for Route 110 drainage and roadway safety improvements – Project includes: over 35,000 CM of excavation,  40,000 ton of disposal of contaminated non- hazardous waste soil, 10,000M  of saw cutting PCC and composite pavement, Cofferdams, 700M of precast concrete box culverts, ductile iron sewer pipe various sizes, polyvinyl chloride pressure pipe, flexible check valve, tide gates, half section concrete barriers, concrete sidewalk (colored and imprinted), asphalt work, planting trees and shrubs, gabions walls, articulating concrete block erosion control, grading, cleaning, dredging and reshaping existing channels, pavement marking sign panels, sewer bypass, water main work, sewer construction, street lighting, traffic signals, and two roundabout  safety circle, flood control system, dewatering, construction of filtration pond and very complex MPT. Estimated completion date: 09/2014

The scope of this $5 million project called for installation of median barrier on Route 27 and Long Island Expressway. Project includes: over 1,500CM of excavation, 35,000 M of cable median barrier , 1,000M of box beam guide railing, 130,000 SM of establishing turf and planting of trees, 2,400T of asphalt work, and complex MPT. Completion date: 03/2012

The scope of this $11 million project called for the guiderail rehabilitation and replacement on Northern state Parkway and Meadowbrook Parkway. Project includes: over 500CM of excavation, 5,000M of road saw cutting, 12,000M of guiderail replacement , 6,000T of asphalt work, 5,000 reflective marking, 300 tree planting and very complex MPT. Completion date: 08/2011
